At Renestance it has come to our attention that British nationals have experienced difficulties entering France without a Titre de Séjour. There are several stories circulating the media about people being turned back at the border. However, if you test negatively for Covid you are allowed into France with a printout of your request for a Carte de Séjour and crucially, you must also have your Attestation de Déplacement with you.
As a transitory measure, attestations must be accepted as proof of legal residence in France, so if you need to return to France urgently, take a copy of those 2 documents and print out a copy of the following guidelines to have with you, as below:
